Fire Safety

  • SpecSeal Collar for Plastic Pipes

SpecSeal SSC Firestop Collars are factory-manufactured firestop devices sized to plastic pipes of up to 6 in. Trade Size. SSC Collars consist of a restraining collar with a factory applied intumescent ensuring the correct amount of material is applied every time. Under fire exposure, SSC Collars quickly expand and collapse combustible piping forming a dense char, resisting the passage of smoke and flame.

  • SpecSeal SSB Firestop Pillows

SpecSeal SSB Firestop Pillows consist of a mineral fiber core material sealed with a water-resistant intumescent membrane. This coated core material is then heat-sealed in a tough, nonirritating, fireretardant poly bag. They easily compress and conform around any penetrant. Equally suited for new or existing conditions, SpecSeal Pillows make short work of even the most complex through-penetration firestop conditions.

  • SpecSeal Silicone Joint Sealant

SpecSeal® SIL Silicone Firestop Sealant is a one-part, neutral-curing silicone sealant exhibiting superior performance in applications where sealing openings in walls and floors are needed to control the spread of fire, smoke, toxic gasses, and water during fire conditions.
SpecSeal® SIL Silicone Firestop Sealant is available in non-sag (SIL300) and self-leveling (SIL300SL) grades and may also be used to seal vertical and horizontal joints between metals, masonry, concrete and other common construction materials. SpecSeal® SIL Silicone Firestop Sealant is specially designed for use in static or dynamic joints. SpecSeal® SIL Silicone Firestop Sealant reacts with atmospheric moisture to form a high-strength, durable seal that will adhere to most building substrates without the use of primers. SpecSeal® products do not contain asbestos or PCBs.

  • SpecSeal LC 150 Series Sealant

SpecSeal LC 150 Endothermic Sealant is a latex-based gun grade firestop sealant for construction joints and non-combustible penetrations. SpecSeal® LC Sealant is engineered to adhere well to virtually all construction surfaces and may be applied using a standard caulk gun or by troweling with a standard mason’s trowel or with a putty knife. After application, LC Sealant cures to form a flexible seal against the propagation of fire. Under fire exposure, LC absorbs heat and releases water vapor resisting the progress of smoke and flame.

  • SpecSeal LCI300 Sealant

SpecSeal® LCI Sealant is a versatile and economical intumescent sealant that has excellent caulking properties as well as high build properties on vertical or overhead surfaces. This single component sealant may be caulked (standard cartridge or bulk loaded), knifed or troweled. In addition, SpecSeal® LCI Sealant does not contain PCB’s or asbestos.
SpecSeal® LCI Sealant is storage stable (when stored according to the manufacturer’s recommendations), and will not separate or shrink when dried (when applied according to the manufacturer's recommendations). SpecSeal® LCI Sealant will adhere to all common construction and penetrant materials and contains no solvents that might adversely effect plastic pipes or cable jackets.

  • SpecSeal LCC Firestop Collar Series

The SpecSeal® LCC Collar is a factory-manufactured device designed to protect plastic pipes penetrating fire-rated walls and floors. Utilizing a heavy gauge galvanized metal collar to house a molded intumescent insert, the SpecSeal® LCC Firestop Collar is specifically sized to fit 1-1/2 in, 2 in, 3 in, and 4 in (38 mm, 51 mm, 76 mm and 102 mm) trade sized pipes. When exposed to temperatures in excess of 320°F (160°C), the SpecSeal® LCC Collar’s molded insert begins to expand (intumesce) rapidly to form a dense, highly insulative char. Its free expansion ranges from 32x to 64x original (pre-expanded) volume. Expansion continues up to 1,000°F (538°C).

  • SpecSeal ES100 Elastomeric Sealant, All

SpecSeal ES Sealant is a latex-based gun grade elastomeric firestop sealant designed for construction joint applications. Once cured, ES Sealant forms a flexible shield against the passage of fire and smoke, that can accommodate up to 25% compression/extension of the installed joint width. This material is also designed to restore sound attenuation properties to sound-rated ceilings and partitions.

  • SpecSeal Cast In Place Device

Eliminate core-drilling and firestop after the concrete pour with SpecSeal CID Cast-In Firestop Devices. SpecSeal Cast-In Devices are a sleeve, concrete form and firestop rolled into a single device. SpecSeal Cast-In Devices are available in a range of sizes and heights to accommodate penetrant up to 6″ Trade Size penetrants and concrete depths of up to 36″.
