CGW Flap discs blend and finish in one operation which replaces the traditional two-step grinding process of T27 grinding wheels and sanding discs. Flap discs provide a more consistent finish. CGW flap discs reduce processing time which increases productivity for lower parts finishing costs and provides an overall cost savings. CGW flap discs are engineered for full use of the coated abrasive material. Layering the abrasive cloth flaps allows the discs to wear evenly which constantly exposes new sharp grain. The High Density Zirconia Flap Disk is for use on stainless steel, sheet metal, tool steels, heat-treated steels, and for the grinding & finishing of welds. For aggressive use on heavy duty applications. CGW’S new ceramic flap disc is the best choice for grinding stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and other hard metals. Using CGW’s ceramic flap disc will give a “cool grinding surface” since the grain has a self sharpening formula.

Rubber back-up pads are used with abrasive sanding and grinding discs. The rubber back-up pad has spiral ribs to provide contact points for the abrasive disc, and to form channels for air flow which extend the life of the disc by up to 50%.
Pasco Gold sanding discs, with Mylar/paper backing, is the best selling sanding disc. Available in many sizes and styles, this version uses a Velcro, or hook and loop, backing to attach to a matching pad.
Spade bits are used for rough boring in wood. Spade bits are flat, with a centering point and two cutters. The cutters are often equipped with spurs in an attempt to ensure a cleaner hole. Intended for high speed use, they are used with electric hand drills. Spade bits are also sometimes referred to as “paddle bits”. Available in 1/4″ – 1-1/2″.
The ThunderTwist’s TriCarb grade tip guarantees longer life with faster penetration due to increased chiseling action. ThunderTwist’s flute design, combined with copper brazing alloy creates the most reliable drill bit on the market. It is made with high quality American chrome-molybdenum nickel steel that is vacuum heat treated, and shot-peened for superior strength under the roughest conditions.

These wire wheel brushes are designed for fast, heavy duty working on large surfaces. The crimped wire wheel brush is great for light and medium duty cleaning, such as removing scale and paint, deburring, and cleaning welds or flat surfaces.
The knotted wire wheel brush allows a long working life and high removal capacity while working at high speed.
Black silicon carbide is harder than aluminum oxide, and is generally used for the abrasives and ceramic industries. The only two common abrasive materials harder than SiC are diamonds and boron carbide. Silicon Carbide is special in the way it breaks down. As it breaks down into smaller particles, the media will expose new, sharp edges. Therefore, as the media breaks down, it will create a “working blend” of various sized particles. This allows for effective surface cleaning/polishing. These sanding discs use these attributes of silicon carbide to polish glass, as well as ceramics, and stone.
