Abrasive Materials and Applications
ZA24T - Zirconia Aluminum Oxide give consistent grinding action for quicker and easier working. The zirconia grain is sharper, cuts faster, and lasts longer than aluminum oxide grain.
T-grade bond and 24 grain size.
WA24S - White Aluminum Oxide with an S-grade bond is a contaminant-free design for fast cutting of stainless steel, ferrous metals, food grade, and nuclear applications. Contains virtually no iron, sulfur, or chlorine for rust-free and corrosion free results.
A24R - Aluminum Oxide Grain is the #1 selling 1/4" Depressed Center grinding wheel. The R-grade bond provides for longer life and excellent stock removal.
A24N Fast Cut - Aluminum oxide grain and soft N-grade bond provides for fast stock removal. This is an economical choice for metal and low-grade stainless steel.
A30N - Premium Aluminum oxide grain, with a soft N-grade bond, designed for use on aluminum, copper, zinc, and other soft metals.
C24R Fast Cut - Silicon carbide grain and R-grade bond are designed for easy working on masonry, concrete, and stone.
C3 Ceramic - CGW'S new ceramic grinding disc is the best choice for grinding stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and other hard metals. Using CGW’s ceramic grinding disc will give a "cool grinding surface" since the grain has a self sharpening formula.
Cotton - Yes, Cotton. Cotton Fiber impregnated with aluminum oxide grains and latex bond for superior stainless steel and aluminum blending and finishing. Grind and finish with one wheel. Aluminum will not load up.

Glass Sanding Disc, 5″
Black silicon carbide is harder than aluminum oxide, and is generally used for the abrasives and ceramic industries. The only two common abrasive materials harder than SiC are diamonds and boron carbide. Silicon Carbide is special in the way it breaks down. As it breaks down into smaller particles, the media will expose new, sharp edges. Therefore, as the media breaks down, it will create a “working blend” of various sized particles. This allows for effective surface cleaning/polishing.
These sanding discs use these attributes of silicon carbide to polish glass, as well as ceramics, and stone. -

Flap Grinding Disc, Zirconia & Ceramic, Type 29

Rubber Back-Up Pad, without Nut
Rubber back-up pads are used with abrasive sanding and grinding discs. The rubber back-up pad has spiral ribs to provide contact points for the abrasive disc, and to form channels for air flow which extend the life of the disc by up to 50%.
