SpecSeal SSB Firestop Pillows
SpecSeal SSB Firestop Pillows consist of a mineral fiber core material sealed with a water-resistant intumescent membrane. This coated core material is then heat-sealed in a tough, nonirritating, fireretardant poly bag. They easily compress and conform around any penetrant. Equally suited for new or existing conditions, SpecSeal Pillows make short work of even the most complex through-penetration firestop conditions.

SpecSeal® Firestop Pillows are designed for firestopping medium to large openings containing various penetrating items such as pipes, conduits, cables, insulated metal pipes, bus ducts and HVAC ducts. Pillows are particularly well suited for applications involving data, communications, power or control cables, innerducts and cable trays.
This method of sealing offers easy retrofitting of cable installations without the need to damage the firestop seal. Difficult applications such as one-sided shaft wall installations and other applications where access is restricted to one side of the assembly may be easily firestopped with this material.

BIOSTOP® Firestop Gasket is a single component fire rated gasket for use with electrical boxes when addressing the “24 inch rule”. It is mounted on the inside of the cover plate and installed at the same time as the cover plate, covering the opening and providing the necessary fire protection.
When exposed to heat, BIOSTOP® Firestop Gasket’s highly intumescent nature causes it to expand forming a char that will seal off the opening and prevent the spread of flames and limit the temperature rise on the unexposed surfaces. -

The SpecSeal® LCC Collar is a factory-manufactured device designed to protect plastic pipes penetrating fire-rated walls and floors. Utilizing a heavy gauge galvanized metal collar to house a molded intumescent insert, the SpecSeal® LCC Firestop Collar is specifically sized to fit 1-1/2 in, 2 in, 3 in, and 4 in (38 mm, 51 mm, 76 mm and 102 mm) trade sized pipes. When exposed to temperatures in excess of 320°F (160°C), the SpecSeal® LCC Collar’s molded insert begins to expand (intumesce) rapidly to form a dense, highly insulative char. Its free expansion ranges from 32x to 64x original (pre-expanded) volume. Expansion continues up to 1,000°F (538°C).
