  • Euroboor Weldon Tap Holders

The Euroboor Weldon Tap holders allow the operator to use a tap bit to thread out the hole that was just cut.

  • Taper Tap

Taps and dies are tools used to create screw threads, which is called threading. Many are cutting tools; others are forming tools. A tap is used to cut or form the female portion of the mating pair (e.g. a nut). A die is used to cut or form the male portion of the mating pair (e.g. a bolt). The process of cutting or forming threads using a tap is called tapping, whereas the process using a die is called threading.

Taper taps are the easiest taps to use by hand because the material removed is done with so many partial forms of the taps thread. Taper taps are normally used in through-hole applications or as a starter tap for blind holes.

  • NPT Pipe Taps

Also called Pipe Taps, National Pipe Taper Taps are appropriate for threading a wide variety of materials both ferrous and non-ferrous. Carbon steel pipe taps are designed to clean and or re-thread damaged or jammers pipe threads. The nominal size of a Pipe Tap is that of the pipe fitting to be tapped, not the actual size of the tap. The thread tapers 3/4 of an inch per foot. All Pipe Taps furnished with a 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 thread chamfer.

  • Bottom Tap

Taps and dies are tools used to create screw threads, which is called threading. Many are cutting tools; others are forming tools. A tap is used to cut or form the female portion of the mating pair (e.g. a nut). A die is used to cut or form the male portion of the mating pair (e.g. a bolt). The process of cutting or forming threads using a tap is called tapping, whereas the process using a die is called threading.
Known at “bottom taps” or “bottoming taps”, these taps have a 1 to 2 thread chamfer to produce threads in a closed hole, or close to the bottom of a hole.
