    Makita XGT 40V 3‑1/4″ Planer, AWS Capable

    The Makita 40V XGT® Brushless 3-1/4” Planer (GPK01) is AWS® Capable and engineered for door and window installers, finish carpenters, deck installers, remodelers, and general contractors seeking a brushless cordless planer. The Planer delivers 15,000 RPM for fast stock removal. It will plane up to 311 feet at 1/16” depth on a single charge of a 40V XGT 4.0Ah battery, and is capable of planing 3-1/4” wide and 5/32” deep in a single pass.

    XGT® is a system of equipment, tools, batteries, and chargers utilizing 40V max lithium-ion batteries. XGT® is engineered to deliver high power to take on high-demand applications, allowing users to completely transition to a cordless job site.     There are 2 feature models of the GPK01 Cordless Planer. The choice is with or without one battery and rapid charger. Both models come with standard accessories that include socket wrench, guide rule, depth guide, planer blade, and blade gauge. Options for the Makita GPK01 Planer are:

    Makita Cordless 3-1/4″ Planer, 18V LXT

    The Makita 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Cordless Planer (model XPK01Z) combines the speed and capacity of a corded planer with the convenience of cordless. The result is fast and accurate stock removal, without the cord.

    The XPK01Z delivers 15,000 RPM and is engineered for fast stock removal. It will plane up to 3-1/4” wide and 5/64” deep in a single pass, with a 2-blade cutter head and double-edge carbide blades for added performance and a smooth finish. The click depth adjustment knob has an easy-to-read scale with settings from 0” to 5/64” for precise depth adjustment. In addition, the precision machined aluminum base is engineered for increased planning accuracy.
