Finished Hex Nuts – Grade 8: Yellow Zinc
Grade 8 hex nuts have internal machine threads, for use with machine thread bolts and screws. Yellow Zinc offers a modest amount of corrosion resistance, slightly higher than that of clear zinc.
Finished Hex Nuts – Grade 5
Grade 5 hex nuts have internal machine threads, for use with machine thread bolts and screws. The most versatile and widely used nut. ANSI B1.1 UNC and UNF Class 2B thread requirement. Zinc plating, retards the corrosion rate in a normal atmosphere.
Finished Hex Nuts – Grade 2
Hex nuts have internal machine threads, for use with machine thread bolts and screws. Grade 2: made of low carbon steel, these fasteners are applicable for most low strength commercial and industrial uses.
Finished Hex Nuts – Stainless Steel
Stainless steel hex nuts have internal machine threads, for use with machine thread bolts and screws. Stainless steel is a versatile material offering corrosion resistance, strength, good pricing, and a wide range of shapes.
Plow Bolts – Grade 5
Plow bolts are used for attaching the cutting edge of a plow to the plow blade. A tempered medium carbon steel. Grade 5 falls between grade 2 and grade 8 in strength, and is commonly found in automotive applications.
Hex Bolts: Zinc Plated Steel – Grade 2Hex bolts have hexagonal heads and machine threads for use with a nut or in a tapped hole. Zinc plated for moderate corrosion resistance.
Hex Lag Screws
Lag bolts are large wood screws with hexagonal heads often called a lag screw. Hex heads are six sided for use with a wrench.
