  • DRYWALL SCREWS

Drywall screws fasten sheets of drywall (also called sheetrock or plasterboard) to the wall or ceiling support studs. Drywall screws with coarse threads are used to to attach to wood framing. Screws with fine threading are used for metal studs. Also, self-drilling versions are available for attaching to thicker metal support.
Most drywall screws have a tapered bugle head to penetrate the drywall without damaging the outer layer of paper. Trim head screws are used to attach trim pieces over the drywall, and have a very small head that disappears into the surface for easy finishing. K-lath screws have a large wafer head to easily attach wire mesh, or lath, to the frame studs to support plaster. Their low profile heads are easily covered over by the finished surface of tile, stone, brick, stucco, etc.

  • Toggler Toggle Bolts

SNAPTOGGLE heavy-duty toggle bolts carry twice the load in a smaller hole than standard wing anchors. A patented strap design with sturdier straps and smaller ratchet interval adjusts more precisely and snaps off flush to the surface. SNAPTOGGLE heavy-duty toggle bolts do NOT spin when installed with a screw gun and provide superior holding with metal-to-metal fastening.
At Thread Source, we stock the zinc-plated steel versions of these SNAPTOGGLE bolts. There also are 304 stainless steel versions of the SNAPTOGGLE bolts available by special order.

  • Toggler Alligator Anchor

ALLIGATOR anchors are designed to hold high loads in solid walls, ceilings, and floors … but also hold securely when they encounter an unexpected cavity, such as in hollow brick or hollow block, or even in drywall or, especially, in tile over drywall. The specially formulated polypropylene body flows into and locks up with any undercuts in the hole, bonding the screw to the wall and sealing the hole to prevent moisture from entering. Optimal holding values [measured in tons] are obtained in highly dense substrates by using a screw diameter and a drill diameter of the same size as the anchor diameter. The anchor is available both unflanged for push through mounting and with a flange for use where a cavity is anticipated (drywall, hollow brick, etc.).

  • Toggler Hollow Door / Wall Anchors

TOGGLER plastic toggle anchors provide vibration-proof anchoring of light to medium loads in hollow walls & ceilings but also hold securely when they encounter an unexpected solid, such as a wooden stud, or when performing as wedge anchors in materials with thicknesses above their normal wall grip range. Improvements in the original design have increased holding strength and abuse resistance. Holding arms have been thickened and strengthened without increasing the insertion hole size, and major stress points have been significantly reinforced without increasing anchor size.

  • Powers 2275 Wall Dog

The Wall-Dog is an all steel, one-piece screw anchor, which features high-profile threads for easy fastening into wallboard and other masonry base materials. The deep cutting, corkscrew-like threads provide for smooth entry and a powerful hold.

A Toggle spring wing anchor, also called a toggle nut, in zinc plated steel is an anchor used in hollow wall applications (walls with space on the other side) such as drywall and concrete blocks (also called cinder blocks) or any hollow concrete masonry unit. Toggle wings are often used to replace spring wings used in the installations of toggle bolts. Toggle nuts are used with machine screws through pre-drilled holes.
