A cermet is a composite material composed of ceramic and metal materials. A cermet is ideally designed to have the optimal properties of both a ceramic, such as high temperature resistance and hardness, and those of a metal, such as the ability to undergo plastic deformation.

The built-in depth stop allows a preliminary cut of 1/16-inch to be performed before the entire material is cut through for clean and splinter-free cutting -

They cut up to 3/16″ deep (4″ bit cuts up to 1″ deep), and have a spring included around the pilot bit to eject the slug. Sizes from 11/16″ to 2″ have a 7/16″ shank, and above that have a 1/2″ shank.
Each hole cutter comes with a pilot bit, and replacement bits are available.
The 4-piece kit contains the 7/8″, 1-1/8″, and 1-3/8″ cutters, plus the pilot bit.
