Grade 2: made of low carbon steel, these fasteners are applicable for most low strength commercial and industrial uses. The most common hexagonal fastener with internal threads that screws on to the shank of a bolt or a hex cap screw.
Nut size (A.K.A. diameter) is the size bolt that the nut is used with. The same is true of the thread count. Thus a 1/4″-20 nut fits a 1/4″-20 bolt.
