Cut Off Wheels, Type 27
As the name implies, cut off wheels are designed to cut through solid materials such as metal, stainless steel, concrete, stone, or a combination of such material. Similar in structure to a thicker grinding wheel, cut off wheels are thin and are used edge-on to cut through the material.
These cut-off discs are Type 27, Depressed Center style.

A24R: Aluminum Oxide – Metal & Steel, Stainless.
General purpose. 14" are available in both double and triple reinforced.
A24T: Aluminum Oxide – Metal Decking & Cable.
Harder bond for more cuts on thinner metals. 14" are triple reinforced.
A36P: Aluminum Oxide – Metal & Steel
A36S: Aluminum Oxide – For stainless steel and steel.
A46N-ALU: Aluminum Oxide mixture.
Contains a non-loading bond. Good on Aluminum.
A60S: Aluminum Oxide – Metal Decking & Cable.
Extra-thin wheels for faster cutting with less resistance.
C24: Silicon Carbide – Stone/Concrete
ZA24S: Zirconia Aluminum Oxide – Metal & Stainless;
High performance cutting, recommended on thicker stock applications such as angle iron, angle bars.
ZA60R: Zirconia Aluminum Oxide – Metal, steel and stainless.
Longer lasting life and easy cutting action.
ZA60S: Higher percentage of special Premium treated Alox grain and premium fiberglass net for Maximum safety.
ZA60T: Higher percentage of special Premium treated Alox grain and premium fiberglass net for Maximum safety.

The Makita Dust Extracting Surface Grinding Shroud (195236-5) is designed to fit Makita 4-1/2 in. – 5 in. grinders. It features a spring-loaded suspension system that keeps the shroud flush to the surface during movement and compensates for blade wear.
