Description

Tap bolts are similar to hex bolts except they are fully threaded no matter what their length. They are designed to be used in drilled and tapped holes. They are used in applications where a stud with a nut on each end would be impractical.Tap Bolts are fully threaded and are made of low carbon steel, these fasteners are applicable for most low strength commercial and industrial uses. Zinc plating, retards the corrosion rate in a normal atmosphere. Tensile Strength: 60,000 psi minimum. Grade 5 is the most common grade used in manufacturing assembly.

Tap bolt length is measured from under the head to the end of the bolt.
